Resolution of Thanks
To the XXXIth Panamerican Congress of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck
Surgery
Quito, Ecuador
WHEREAS the Panamerican Association of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery
held its first joint meeting with the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head
and Neck Surgery Foundation in conjunction with its XXXI Congress, held June
4-7, 2008 in Quito, Ecuador, and
WHEREAS the Congress warmly welcomed Academy Board of Governors Chair J.
Pablo Stolovitzky, MD, Humanitarian Efforts Committee Chair James E.
Saunders, MD, and many other Academy leaders, and
WHEREAS the Congress strengthened cordial relations between the Panamerican
Association and the said Academy, by extending generous hospitality to
Academy members, and
WHEREAS, the Congress graciously provided an exhibit stand for the Academy
and its Foundation to display and distribute their educational materials in
furtherance of their mission of "Working for the Best Ear, Nose, and Throat
Care,"
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Boards of Directors of the Academy
and its Foundation express their sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the
President of the Panamerican Association, Antonio de la Cruz, MD, to the
Congress Chair Ramiro Yepez-Herrera, MD, and to the Organizing Committee,
who all worked tirelessly to make the Congress an outstanding and
unforgettable success.
